Factorisation d'un trinôme
Pour factoriser ax² + bx + c :
- Calculer le discriminant Δ = b² - 4ac
- Si Δ > 0 : ax² + bx + c = a(x - x₁)(x - x₂)
- Si Δ = 0 : ax² + bx + c = a(x - x₀)²
- Si Δ < 0 : pas de factorisation réelle
Exemple
Factoriser x² - 5x + 6
- Δ = 25 - 24 = 1 > 0
- x₁ = (5 + 1)/2 = 3, x₂ = (5 - 1)/2 = 2
- x² - 5x + 6 = (x - 3)(x - 2)
